This class provides an industry standard view of project management for individuals seeking an understanding of project management concepts, techniques, and standards they can use in the real world.  This class aligns with the knowledge areas of the PMBOK and demystifies project management for individuals who seek to be more effective in their role as project manager.  It teaches how to use the critical tools and techniques that professionals need to be successful in implementing projects.

  • Managing Human Resources: acquiring, developing, and managing the project team, types of power, roles and responsibilities, dealing with conflict, situational leadership, understanding motivation
  • Communications to Project Stakeholders : communication process, channels and barriers, communication plan, tools and strategies, listening, project status reporting, conducting the post implementation review, how to improve the next project
